Living and working at Skibo
At Skibo there is a strong belief that happy staff equal happy members. With this in mind, the staff accommodation and leisure facilities at The Carnegie Club are second to none.
Accommodation
Staff accommodation may be in the Castle, on the estate or within close proximity to the Castle. All rooms are fully furnished with a desk, lamp, chair, wardrobe, chest of drawers, wastepaper bin, and television. In addition all rooms are fully carpeted with either curtains or fitted blinds. There is a nominal room charge for accommodation and the rate varies depending on whether single or double occupancy is required. All rooms and cottage accommodation have central heating. Cutlery, crockery, and bed linen are provided and in cottages both small and large electrical appliances have been installed for the convenience of residents.
For Castle rooms there is access to a washing machine in addition to a free in-house laundry service which is available upon request.
Lodges, some on the estate and some off but all within walking distance from the Castle are each set in beautiful surroundings with stunning, panoramic views of the Sutherland countryside. All lodges/cottages have a garden area and adequate parking facilities.
Sport and Recreation
We firmly believe that people need a break from work to develop and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The club therefore offers the staff the chance to sample some of the many activities available to our members here on the estate. These include –

- Spa Treatments
- Horseriding
- Discounted rates at the castle and pro shops.
Trips are regularly organised for live-in staff for nights out, shopping and sporting activities in Inverness.
